Flashcards to print for learning words, letters, animals, colors, shapes or numbers. Each educational card pairs a clear picture with a word, to memorize quickly and review often, at home or in class. Depending on the files, the cards are available in French, Arabic and English.

How to prepare the cards

Download the PDF, print the sheets on thick paper (or on regular paper that you laminate), then cut along the lines. For a printable picture dictionary that lasts, lamination is the best choice: the cards stand up to small hands and repeated handling. An A4 sheet holds several cards; allow a few minutes of cutting per sheet.

Games for learning

Flashcards lend themselves to many games: a memory game (two copies of each card), a lotto, a "guess who?" with questions, a morning routine in class where each student names a card, or simply a picture dictionary to flip through in the evening. For a second language, start with five to ten cards, name them out loud, then add more as you go. In preschool, the cards are also used for sorting (farm animals and wild animals, fruits and vegetables) and counting.

Going further

Flashcards naturally go with the vocabulary worksheets, which cover the same words in writing, and with the alphabet worksheets to link a letter to a picture. The number worksheets complement the number cards. Files download right after unlocking and remain available in your account; some are free with an account, the others are unlocked with your tokens.
